A couple of days ago I heard my wife yelling for me from across the house.  When I finally went in the room to see what she needed, her face looked as though something was seriously wrong.  She was lying on the couch with the laptop on her lap and a bewildered look on her face.  Our cat was sitting close by with a strange look in her eyes as well.  Michaela began to explain to me that the cat walked across the laptop as she was typing on it; making the screen shift from normal to sideways!  Now I’m not just talking about the task bar shifting.  I’m talking about the whole screen!  I actually had to turn my laptop on its side in order to use the mouse properly and read what I was doing.  After a while, it became evident that what I was doing was not working and I needed to let the computer perform a system restore.  After the system restore, everything was all good and in proper working order.

Many times our life gets all out of whack and we work around the clock trying to fix the problems.  There’s a better solution – Jesus!  Jesus can restore our life just the way it needs to be restored.  How often does our life shift in the wrong direction and we keep trying to fix it by ourselves?  We need to learn that we cannot fix our lives.  Only Jesus can fully restore and fix us!  Jesus says, “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28  Only Jesus can give us the rest and restoration that we desperately need.
